A tribute to Vermeer
Created with AI & edited
This film started as a creative experiment: what happens when Vermeer’s masterpieces meet AI? Using Runway Gen-3, I brought his iconic paintings to life with editing and sound design. The result went viral in the Netherlands, capturing millions of views and major media attention.
Ollie - Youth Empowerment
Directed, filmed & edited
Discover the power of personal growth and development in my latest short film for Ollie, a leading company that helps young people unleash their full potential. The inspiring story of Milou illustrates the importance of listening to your inner voice and choosing what brings you happiness. This video will be part of Ollie's training program, aiming to motivate young individuals to find their own path and excel in their personal journey.
Intergamma
Directed, filmed & edited
Online commercial for the biggest hardware store in The Netherlands. It promotes their educational program that offers young people the opportunity to earn money while studying. I took on the entire project by myself from concept to filming, editing and VFX (I went out of my comfort zone and even did the voice-over!)
Documentary
Capturing the beauty of everyday scenes with focus on storytelling
Tante Iki (Aunt Iki)
Directed, filmed & edited
Sigrid Koetse (1935), award-winning actress and grande dame of the Dutch theater, lived most of her life in the public eye, always surrounded by a crowd of admirers. Now, she spends her winter years secluded in her Amsterdam home struggling with the silence of life without applause. With this powerful short documentary, filmmaker Wytse Koetse (1979) brings his remarkable aunt back into the limelight, unlocking memories of the past that shape her life today.
Jimmy on the Run
Directed, filmed & edited
A 7-minute portrait of natural born fashion and street photographer 'Jimmy on the Run'. Coming from rural China, he now roams the streets of Amsterdam always chasing the next best picture. This short film shows Jimmy’s passion for the lens, his dynamic lifestyle and his struggle with family expectations.
De benen van Amsterdam (Legs of Amsterdam)
Directed, filmed & edited
In the fast-paced rhythm of everyday Amsterdam, Frans van der Meer runs his 90-year-old bike shop as one of the city’s most authentic bicycle repairmen. Frans not only knows his trade, but also harbours a piece of old Amsterdam, where the city is like a village, where neighbours are like family, and bicycles are like legs.

This is the creativity of one maker. Two years ago, you would have needed teams of people working for months to create something like this. And this guy just made it, all on his own!
